AISHWARYA® Solar Lamps:
AISHWARYA® - 6543: is NEST’s flagship solar product. In 2001, it was the first mini solar lantern designed, developed and packaged for rural markets across the world. It uses energy efficient Compact Flourescent Lamp (CFL) of 5W which gives 10 times more brightness when compared to the best kerosene-lamps, which only gives 10 lx (lux). AISHWARYA®-6543 has been voted as the price-to-performance winner in a testing process conducted by GTZ and Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy (FISE) on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Germany.
